What if......

THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE IS SUBJECT TO MENTAL RISKS, PLEASE PRAY WELL BEFORE READING!!!

WHAT IF that apple had not fallen on Sir Issac Newton’s head? WHAT IF instead it was a jackfruit? WHAT IF Hitler had not killed himself that day on the battle field? WHAT IF Osama Bin Laden was never born? WHAT IF Sreeshanth had dropped the catch during the 20-20 world cup final in 2007? What if the spider had not bitten Peter Parker? Would our lives still be the same? I doubt it.
Everyday we experience new things, bear witness to new events, drab to exhilarant and bereaved to blithe, but there are some events we wished, we hoped, would have turned out to be different. Citing examples would always goad me to dip my hand into the huge carafe of thoughts. I pick the shallowest one and here it is. My sister is writing her Medical PG exam for the Manipal University, India.  She finishes her exam, results, 2nd rank. “Oh my god , my dream come true !“ she exclaimed “I can study in one of the best institutes and that too with scholarship” But wait, “you get 21 lakhs scholarship if you come 1st or else, empty your wallet” refuted the college management. How unfortunate, WHAT IF she had got a question right? I always wonder, how such a minuscule event can beget such drastic differences in upshots.
I sometimes feel this is very unfair, god should not be so hard on us. A light breeze can collapse a 100 storey house of cards. I mean how is this possible? Does this have something to do with the butterfly effect wherein it is said that,  a butterfly flapping its wings on one side of the earth can cause a hurricane on the other side some time later . All these actually does make sense and scientist have formluated some theories to explain these effects. But do we care about all those? We just hope no bullet ant(extremely innocent looking and small, yet very deadly) would come and sting us. Another thing I noticed was the less platonic and less scientific aspect named luck. It is strange, we say we are lucky to escape the imminent danger, but what is the actual probability of being lucky? Doesn’t this have a direct relationship with our own ‘WHAT IF’ clause? It does. Now lets try to put these 2 in the same basket. As I mentioned before, ‘WHAT IF’  that apple had fallen on Hancock? We(except the students) and above that, Newton was lucky. He became the person who solved the biggest conundrum of the force that pulls you down. A daily commuters crosses the road and reaches the office safely. Wasn’t he lucky to be safe? WHAT IF he was hit by a speeding car? Romans used to deify ‘luck’ and worship her, but some say it’s a property of a person or thing. You may feel I am digressing here from the title, but actually I am not, I am just exploring.
My intention here is merely to make you aware of the effects of the butterfly’s flapping in your life. Every thing in the would would have been effected by this peculiar feature of life, and just think how different things would have been otherwise. All the effects are linear in nature, What if you were not born? What if your parents never got married? What if they were not born. So everything happens for a reason. All these are really strange phenomena, yet interesting.
